Limitations
Before going live with Taly on your Shopify store, please review the following implementation guidelines. These notes outline critical operational, regulatory, and technical considerations to ensure seamless integration and full compliance with Taly’s payment framework. Adhering to these recommendations will help maintain a secure checkout experience, prevent transaction errors, and optimize your store’s performance with the Taly platform.
Important Limitations Notes
1. Geographic Restrictions
Taly services are currently available only within approved operating regions. Merchants must ensure that their Shopify store and business operations are located in, or selling to, Taly supported markets. Transactions originating outside these regions will be automatically declined. This ensures compliance with local regulatory and financial requirements.
2. Supported Currencies
Taly supports transactions in specific currencies authorized by the regulator which is Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD). Before enabling Taly, confirm that your store’s base currency matches one of Taly’s supported currencies. If your store uses a different currency, the payment option may not appear during checkout.
3. Test Mode Limitations
When Test Mode is enabled, all transactions are simulated and no real payments are processed. This environment is designed for integration testing and UI validation and configurations only. Ensure that you switch to Live Mode before launching your store publicly to enable real customer payments and settlements.
4. Plugin Updates
Shopify and Taly frequently release updates to maintain security, performance, and compatibility. Always keep your Taly plugin and theme integration up to date to prevent checkout disruptions and ensure smooth operation with the latest Shopify API versions. Partners are encouraged to enable automatic app updates where possible.
5. Customer Redirect
During checkout, customers are securely redirected to the Taly payment gateway to complete their transaction.
After payment, customers are automatically returned to your store’s order confirmation page.
